I admit it. I am a tech nerd and I love it.

I never thought I would love my computer (a mac), Adobe CS4 Design platform, HTML/CSS programming, blogs, cameras, iPods, computer cords, components and all things technology. But here I am spending most of my time on the computer (if I'm not designing/sewing that is!) and loving it. I am accumulating quite the collection of USB memory sticks, cords and etc, and carry them back and forth to work with me each day. My laptop makes the trip with me everyday as well, which means I have to lug a large power cord too. I needed something to de-clutter my tote so I whipped up this little zippered tote to make my life easier. Plus, I had a ton of selvedges laying around, which I was collecting to do something with...I just wasn't sure yet.

I added some trim to jazz up my little zippered bag a little bit more, along with pom pom fringe trim, ribbon, jewels and ric-rac! Oh, how I love it!

As always I place Amor Fati on any bag I make. Love your life!

It's large enough to hold my macbook charger, my camera USB cord, 4 USB sticks and any other random cords I need to carry. I think there is a lip chap (natural ice-cherry) in there as well, which I use multiple times daily!

Inside the front wool pocket is where the USB sticks go. I had to jazz up the inside of that as well so I put another selvedge for the top of the pocket and sewed 4 slots for the sticks.

I love the Amy Butler Tangerine/Pink Sandlewood Laminate so I put that on the inside. I seem to be putting laminate inside all of my make-up bags, zippered totes, beach bags and just about everything else I can think of. It just seems practical to be able to wipe out the inside of a bag, especially where power cords are stored that get drug across the floor all the time!

I use this little zippered bag everyday, plus it matches perfectly with the iPod cover I made.
Happy Stitching! xx
