{Quilts} Baby Hunky Dory

>> Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Just a little charm project I've been working on...a Hunky Dory baby quilt. When I need a break from thinking...and just want to sew I'll take pre-cut charm pack squares and mindlessly sew them together. I love working with charm packs because of the variety of prints, I really don't have to layout any quilt pattern.

This line was a favorite of mine, with the soft palette and fun prints. I really love the taupe in the line with a hint of yellow, so I used some of those prints for the backing.

I used a soft pink Moda Grunge for the binding.

The best part about this quilt is the pebble quilting. I did this on my Boxed Blessings quilt as well and couldn't get enough of it...I'm a little obsessed.

This one is currently in my pile of quilts to be used some day, or maybe a lucky little girl will get it :)
